INTERNATIONAL METROLOGY FORUM WILL BE HELD IN SAINT PETERSBURG

ST. PETERSBURG, January 18, 2021–The III International Forum "Metrological Support of Innovative Technologies" is dedicated to the global problems of measurements in the various fields of industry and science. The event will take place on March 4, 2021 in the city of St. Petersburg with the support of UNESCO Chairs in leading technical universities.

The agenda includes the topics of metrological support and standardization in the most popular and rapidly developing industries, economics, medicine, and environmental safety. The host of the eventare VNIIM n.a. D. I. Mendeleev, Institute of Regional Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, Metrological Academy, leading Russian and foreign universities, manufacturers of high-precision measuring instruments.

"Participation of UNESCO in the forum demonstrates the deep integration of metrology in fundamental and applied research, modern technological processes that ensure quality management, safety and the development of new professional competences," said Anton Pronin, member of the Program Committee and the Head of VNIIM n.a. D. I. Mendeleev.

According to the State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, the event will bring together metrologists and scientists of related industries from all over the world, and will highlight global measurement problems in a large and diverse number of scientific fields. Based on the results of the forum will be published a collection of abstracts, which due to the relevance of the materials, will become a real encyclopedia of research and advanced equipment types for metrological support of science and technology.
