RUSSIA AND CHINA CONTINUE TO DEVELOP COOPERATION ON STANDARDIZATION

MOSCOW, November 30, 2020 – A number of activities within the framework of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of standardization were held in the end of November via videoconference.

On 24 November 2020 was held the 9th meeting of the special Russian-Chinese Working group on standardization in the field of civil aviation and civil aircraft construction. On the same day, issues of cooperation in the field of standardization in the energy sector were included in the agenda of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission on energy cooperation chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, which was attended by Deputy Head of Rosstandart Anton Shalaev.

On 26-27 November 2020 was held the 18th meeting of the Permanent Russian-Chinese Working Group on standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and inspection control of the Sub-commission on trade and economic cooperation Commission on preparation of regular meeting of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China under the chairmanship of Deputy Head of Rosstandart Anton Shalaev and Deputy Minister of State Administration for Market Regulation of the People's Republic of China (SAMR) Tian Shihong.

Representatives of Rosstandart, Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Federal Service for accreditation, VNIIM n.a. D.I. Mendeleev, STANDARTINFORM, the Academy on standardization, metrology and certification, the Federal Research Center for food systems n.a. V. M. Gorbatov and other organizations also took part in the meeting from the Russian side. The Chinese delegation included more than 30 representatives of the Chinese Administration for Market Regulation and enterprise experts.

In the spotlight is the current state of industry interaction, including in the field of conformity assessment of automobiles, in the fields of standardization in the agricultural and food industries and metrological assurance of energy resources. The parties also discussed the procedures of further cooperation on the platforms of international and regional organizations for standardization, such as the International Organization for Standardization, the International Electrotechnical Commission and BRICS. One of the important outcomes of the meeting was the approval of the draft action Plan for the harmonization of requirements for coal, products of their processing and mining equipment, including those operating in explosion-proof environments.
